From everyday essentials to ready-to-eat meals, Seafood City brings the Filipino food experience together under one roof.

Seafood City Supermarket is a chinese supermarket in Carson, California. It is listed at 131 W Carson St, Carson, CA 90745, which places it among the local businesses of Carson that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Asian grocery stores and supermarkets stock ingredients, snacks and household goods that general American supermarkets often do not carry, organized by category rather than by country of origin in most stores. Produce and live or fresh seafood sections are usually at the back or side of the store, and weekend mornings bring the largest crowds and freshest restock. Many larger Asian supermarkets include a hot deli or food court counter selling prepared meals by the pound or as fixed plates, useful for a quick lunch while shopping. Labels are frequently bilingual or untranslated, so store staff can usually help locate a specific ingredient if you ask. Cash, cards and mobile pay are all commonly accepted at larger chains; smaller specialty shops may be cash-preferred.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 8 am–9 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Seafood City Supermarket at (310) 834-9700; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is seafoodcity.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Carson is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Carson follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I go here with my wife who is Filipino. I enjoy shopping here with her because this is where she gets ALL her ingredients to create the delicious food she has been cooking for me for many years. I was unfamiliar with most Filipino brands but I can taste the difference & it is thanks to this Market. If she's had a difficult week babysitting, I will still shop without her to buy her a treat or something so she doesn't have to cook, because I know if I have a question someone will either show me or tell me. It helps that I've shopped with her enough to know where many items are though. (The Grill City that has been added has a favorite of hers.) She loves to have Halo Halo on very hot days. we frequently buy 2 & sit in a park eating it. I can't say enough about the overall atmosphere. Maybe it's because I'm with my wife's people, her kababayans. Sure, it's just a grocery store but I've gone inside some grocery stores where it just felt scrambled & not condusive to a positive shopping experience. I want to check out the product I'm buying. I will take time to read the labels. I wish more places had the vibe. ...

Seafood City is one of my absolute favorite spots — and here’s why it’s so popular and trendy for Filipino food lovers (and newcomers alike). Why People Go to Seafood City: 1. Authentic Filipino Supermarket Experience Seafood City isn’t just a grocery store — it’s a cultural hub. It specializes in Filipino products and ingredients you don’t always find at a regular supermarket. 2. Fresh Seafood Galore As the name suggests, the seafood section is top-notch — really fresh fish, shellfish, and other seafood, often cleaned or cut to order if you ask. 3. Huge Product Variety Beyond seafood, they carry a wide range of Filipino and Asian grocery items: sauces, snacks, produce, meats, imported goods — everything to recreate Filipino home cooking. 4. On-site Food Court Inside the store, there’s a food hall/food court where you can grab ready-to-eat Filipino comfort food while you shop. This makes it a “destination” — not just for groceries but for dining too. 5. Community Vibe & Trendiness Seafood City has become a trendy place for Filipinos and Filipino-Americans, not just to shop but to hang out, especially among younger generations who appreciate the mix of food, culture, and community.

In 2023, we went here first… and this was my comment: “Whoa... lots of kapwa filipino. Feels like home. Lots of filipino products... and the music inside is also filipino. I had an easier time talking and asking questions using tagalog.” In 2025, we returned and not much change.
